Designed by architect Moshe Safdie the Marina Bay Sans Hotel and Casino in Singapore opened in April 2010 to the tune of a whopping $5.5 billion (with a B).

I’m going to feed this to you slowly. Get ready now.

This is a picture of the architectural model being viewed by a mother and child.

And here is the real deal.

It’s like a dadgum cruise ship resting on top of three sky scrapers!!!

I’m sorry but whose mind thinks like this????

Here it is during the laser light show at night.

The smaller orange building in the left foreground is a lotus-inspired museum.

This overhead shot of the casino looks like a work of art.

The casino with 600 game tables and 1500 slot machines actually  occupies less than 3% of the gross floor area.

This is a close-up of the lotus with a few of the extracurriculars in the background.

Yes, I guess you can sky dive here also.

Inside is 800,00 square feet are retail and dining  spaces.

There is a ballroom the can accommodate 6,600 for a banquet- that’s 660 tables set up for a wedding.

They can actually have three weddings going on simultaneously.

Retail stores include Cartier, Prada,Patek Phillipe, Feragamo,, and Chanel.

Some of the boutique shops are so exclusive that they are only offered in Singapore making it a world-class shopping destination.

Finally, you reach the bottom floor of the mall. This is a young honeymoon couple being rowed through the mall canal in their on gondola.

You even get to row around the big fountain. How romantic. Oh, except for the paparazzi.

The hotel boasts the world’s largest crystal chandelier with 132,000 Swarovski crystals.

It is suspended 40 up into the ceiling and weighs 7.1 tons. Don’t stand under it! LOL

OK, I’ve saved the best for last.

We are going to make our way up the escalator ( the slow way to go)
